One of the most striking features of Africa's beauty is the intensity of its light. I will never grow tired of watching the sun set, transforming the landscape into a golden glow. It's the time of day when the air cools down and the nocturnal creatures slowly come to life, taking over the reins. And you realise that you only have a few moments left to soak up this unique atmosphere before you have to leave and let the wildlife reclaim their space.

On our trip through Zambia and Zimbabwe we spent some unforgettable nights in the most remote wilderness campsites. No water, no electricity, just nature and ourselves. The sense of freedom and adventure that this type of travel offers is unparalleled, at least in my opinion. Going to bed with nothing but the open sky in sight, erases all thoughts and worries and makes you feel like the luckiest - and only - person in the world. ✨

Ever since I saw a documentary about the Zambesi a few years ago, a canoe tour on this mighty river was at the top of my wish list.

For two and a half days we paddled across the Zambesi, taking with us only the bare necessities to spend the nights on secluded islands in the middle of nature. With the wind as our constant companion we passed big crocodiles, bloats of resident hippos and elephants feeding on the shoreline. In the late afternoons we headed towards land to set up camp and prepare dinner that we enjoyed under a star-filled sky. What a special and unforgettable experience!

When visiting Mana Pools we spent an unforgettable night at a wild camping spot in Chitake Springs. While preparing our food a bunch of elephants visited our campsite and digged for water in the dry river bed just a few meters away from us. All night we could hear their slurping and munching sounds, while lions and hyenas called in the dark. It doesn't get much wilder than this. Mana Magic. ✨🇿🇼
